WHAT WE THINK YOU MEAN...

I've been thinking of this for a while now.  What does a bride mean when she starts explaining what she wants for her wedding flowers?  Most of the time I can figure out who she really is after a bit of discussion. Remembering that in a perfect world the bride will only get married once and has no technical knowledge of terminology is something I always keep in mind.  And of course there are only so many terms and words to throw around.
Please keep your sense of humor intact here.  Because today, JUST FOR FUN, I wanted to make a tongue-in-cheek list of what we sometimes think is being said:

"SIMPLE"  means "I have no budget"
"ELEGANT"  means "can you make it LOOK like I have a budget"
"MODERN"   means "I like gerber daisies"
"CHIC"   means "I love callas"
"ROMANTIC"   means "I like roses and Martha Stewart"
"UNIQUE"   means "I've never done this before, and anything you do will be new to me"
"GREEN"   means "I will bring 150 people to your area no matter what the footprint and then buy local flowers to fix it"
"FUN"  means "maybe you can REALLY try out your new ideas on me and I'll love it - but I'm a little bit of a control freak"
"I WANT TO DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT"   means "It'll be like everyone else's idea of different"

"THIS IS THE LAST THING (FLOWERS) I HAVE TO DO"   means "you're the last cookie in the jar and I have no money left. Help me"
"I TRUST YOU"   means "I've seen your work and don't want to second guess your abilities" - my favorite bride!
